Ministry of Community Spirit
Catholic Daughters:A national charitable organization for Catholic women over the age of 18. Founded in 1903 by the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Daughters have flourished under the motto of "Unity and Charity". If you want to deepen your spiritual life; share your faith; promote love of God, Church and country; be a more effective Catholic woman; study church doctrine; share your talents with others; gain leadership skills and develop new friendships - then this ministry is for you.For further information, please contact Linda Carlson @ 503-655-4925
Knights of Columbus
K of C was founded in 1882 by Father Michel J. McGivney. It has become the largest lay organization in the Catholic Church. Knights of Columbus are Catholic men committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The knights have been referred to as the "strong right arm of the Catholic Church" due to their inexhaustible support of the Church; programs of evangelization and Catholic education; civic involvement; and aid to those in need. This is a great organization for men to bond in the unity of purpose and devotion to a holy cause.
