Ron Brady Obituary

Ron was born in South Bend, Indiana and moved with his parents and grandparents to California when he was 14 years old. After high school Ron started working at AT&T phone company in Beverly Hills, California. Ron worked his way up to management and retired in 1985, after 25 years with the company. Later Ron started a small engine repair and sharpening business, called “B and R Sharpening”, with his friend Bob. After Ron sold the business, he moved to Oregon City, Oregon in 2000. Ron loved camping with family and friends especially when fishing was included. Ron was a good mechanic too. Ron enjoyed watching sports especially his favorite team Green Bay Packers and Indy / NASCAR racing. Ron loved racing with his Street car and dragster that he built with his friend Jim. Ron won many racing trophies including one for going 140 miles per hour in a quarter mile. Ron belonged to the “Competitors Car Club” and raced other car clubs at the old airstrips in San Fernando Valley, Riverside and Fontana California. Ron became friends with several guys from the other car clubs and anyone he came in contact with throughout his life. Ron was a faithful husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Ron was loved by all his family, friends, neighbors and caregivers. Ron is survived by his wife, Valerie, for an amazing 60 years and his four children: Dale (Michelle), Deanna (David Marciel), Patrick(Darcy), Monica (Ryan O’Hayer) Nine Grandchildren: Courtney and Justin (Joan Cara), Zackary and Kassidy, Brady, Kaley, and Colby, Tanner and Brooklyn,
Three great grandchildren: Emma, Brody, and June Ron is also survived by two brothers Bruce and Tommy, his Uncle Jack, Aunt Gloria and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron will be missed greatly by all.
Services will be Friday, March 3rd with the rosary at 11:30am and the Funeral Mass at 12:00pm at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church at 410 Center St, Oregon City, OR.
