What does it mean to be a Parishioner?

St. John the Apostle Parishioners

Parishioners are registered, practicing members of our vibrant and loving community, who joyfully live and boldly proclaim the Gospel.

2

Why Register?

Parishioners benefit from having a solid community where they are known by name and loved as family.  Registering in a parish can help you in times joy (sacramental preparation), sorrow (in sickness and death), and in the day to day through notification of parish events to help you grow in faith.

3

Why a Parish?

The word "parish" comes from the Greek word "paroikia", which means "sojourning in a foreign land".  This helps us remember that this world is not our home. Our parish is meant to help us reach our final homeland: heaven.
