Francis "Frank" Reasoner Obituary

1934 - 2023

Frank was born in a small house in Moniter, Oregon to Walter and Edna Reasoner. He spent the first few years of life living in Portland on the west side near where Kellar Auditorium is now located. At the age of nine and in the fourth grade, his family moved to the Meadowbrook area of Molalla where he attended elementary school in a two room country school house. He attended Molalla Union High School and graduated in 1951. He attended Mt. Angel Seminary for two years, then enlisted in the Army for two years.

He married Helen Hutchinson in 1959 and they lived in Aloha, where he worked for Tektronix until retirement. After retirement, he bought 25 acres in Molalla and built a house where he lived and enjoyed country life until he moved to Homewoods in February of 2010 with Helen and his little dog, Princess. Life at Homewoods has been like being on a cruise for years. He has enjoyed sitting by the river, walking in the woods, weekend walks, sing-a-longs, and weekly outings.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Edna Reasoner, his brother Richard Reasoner, and his sisters Margaret Hartley, Virginia Wolf, and Patricia Krupicka, two grandchildren, Joshua Reasoner (Florida), and Danny Reasoner (Portland).

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Helen, sons Robert, (St Helens), Ronald (Vancouver, WA), Jeffrey (DeFuniak Springs, FL), and daughter Michelle Kunz (Portland). He leaves 14 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. His younger siblings include his brothers Bill Reasoner, Bob Reasoner, and Tom Reasoner. His sisters include Cathy Hutchinson, Barbara Keller, Rosalie Kinsey, and Phyllis Pullen. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held for him on Thursday, July 27th at 11:00 am at St John the Apostle Catholic Church (410 Center Street, Oregon City, Oregon) followed by a reception in the church hall.
