Vernon Helberg Obituary

May 30,1959 to December 9,2023

Vernon was born in Portland, Oregon then moved to Oregon City at 15 yrs old.   He went to Oregon City High School where he love participated in baseball,  basketball and cross country.  Vern graduated in the class of 1977.   He married Rita Grand in 1980. Vernon was a Construction contractor for many years working in Portland and West Linn area.   He later joined West Linn-Wilsonville School District and retired September 22, 2023.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rita Helberg, his three children, Lance Helberg, Lacy Deeks(Dalton) and Mason Helberg(Becca).  He was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Dillon, Paige, Audrey, Josie, Brooks and Maeve.

Vernon was known as the guy with a smile.   He will be greatly missed.

Funeral     

Friday February 9, 2024: Rosary 11:00am - Funeral Mass 11:30

Reception immediately fallowing in the Parish Center.
